2019 Graduation Report

We are very excited for our Class of 2019 seniors! Eighteen amazing young women and men were admitted to 47 colleges in 23 states around the country including seven different schools in Virginia, six schools in Florida, and three, each, in Pennsylvania and Arizona.

These fortunate colleges include:

Big state schools like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Virginia; and small liberal arts colleges like Davidson, Colby, and Bucknell (…and Macalester, Skidmore, and Grinnell).

Colleges found in big cities like Tulane in New Orleans, Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and SMU in Dallas; and in small towns like Washington and Lee in Lexington, VA; Elon in Elon, NC; and The University of the South in Sewanee, TN;

Six (current or former) schools included in the 44 institutions that have earned the acclaimed Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) designation.*

Four students earned Division 1 or Division 3 athletic opportunities in the sports of basketball, diving, football, and soccer.

Speaking of sports, college is a time to make new friends…and new enemies as many of our students will have the chance to participate in storied NCAA rivalries when they arrive on campus in the fall.

  • Alabama – Auburn in the Iron Bowl

  • SMU – TCU for the Iron Skillet

  • Arizona – Arizona State in the Territorial Cup

  • Clemson – South Carolina in The Palmetto Bowl

  • UGA – Georgia Tech in the Clean, Old-fashioned Hate rivalry

We are so proud of the Class of 2019 and can’t wait for volunteers to host our Branching Out Instagram for “A Day in the Life…” of our awesome freshmen!

*CTCL is dedicated to the advancement and support of a student-centered college search process that helps students frame their college search beyond the ratings and rankings. CTCL was founded on a philosophy of building the knowledge, character and values of young people by introducing them to a personalized and transformative collegiate experience. Although the member colleges approach this challenge in different ways, a student-centered mission is common to all campuses. To learn more visit CTCL and plan to attend Atlanta’s CTCL College Fair on August 21. Dates and locations of other CTCL Fairs can be found on the website.
